Program Overview

Many couples find that weekly sessions are counterproductive and often exacerbate the problems at hand. The Couples Intensives are individualized programs designed for one couple to work exclusively with 2 therapists at Daybreak. Created with their specific needs, couples have the time, safety and privacy to reflect, refocus and connect. The Couples Intensives are facilitated by therapists who are trained in couples psychotherapy and experiential healing.

Couples in Crisis:
A highly packed program helps both spouses work intensely on hot topics and root issues while laying the grounds for compassion, understanding and newfound willingness to work together. At the Intensives both spouses can let their guard down and lay their facade to rest as they find a way back to each other. Family history, medicators and defensive walls are examined laying the groundwork for renewed intimacy, trust and respect.
Couples in Growth Mode:
Most couples are not in crisis. However, the daily grind and busyness of life can put a damper on the relationship. At The Intensive, couples review their year, learn from their challenges and plan ahead. They focus on each other without their intruders, tackle unresolved issues and learn to negotiate lovingly. During the 5 day workshop, couples move past their relationship beliefs and let go of the obstacles that are stopping them from connecting in a deep meaningful way.

For our 15th anniversary we planned a 10 day vacation to Dubai. But I was nervous about it. My husband and I haven’t spent that much time together in years. We extended our vacation and did The Couples Intensive first and then took a plane Monday evening. The Intensive was the best thing ever and prepared us for a really connecting trip.

“Our relationship was deteriorating. After my wife and I suffered some big traumas, it seemed like there was no going back. At our Couple’s Intensive we found a new understanding of each other and discovered a way to move forward.

For Couples in
Crisis, The
Intensive may
be what you’re
looking for if:
Your relationship is caught in a negative cycle that you can’t seem to stop.
You’re carrying resentment and hurt about each other.
You have lost respect for your spouse.
Your spouse and yourself can’t agree on key issues.
Your past traumas are getting in the way of connection.
You are always waiting for the other shoe to drop.
You’ve been in couple’s therapy for a while but things haven’t really changed.
*The Intensive is not designed to treat primary addiction. Rather, it is a program for self-improvement & self-worth.
